The Best Guns For A New Gun Owner

news

The right to own a firearm is ensured to all Americans by the Second Amendment, but the reasons why people buy a firearm are as vast as the number of firearms on the market.

If you lived where I grew up, you might buy a rifle because you got into deer hunting as a child and want to go as an adult.

You might be someone who is absolutely certain that something is going to bring our system down and want to be able to protect yourself.

Perhaps you were the victim of a mugging, perhaps your house was robbed while you were on vacation.

Either way, owning a firearm is a responsibility and not one to be taken lightly. Also, there are some weapons that someone might purchase as a first time gun owner that would be out of their experience range.

For example, I would not exactly tell someone that is buying a gun for the first time to pick a .357 Magnum. That would be like telling a five year old at their first basketball practice that they are going to go one on one with Michael Jordan.

I’ve seen many a first time gun owner whose eyes were too big for their head that end up buying a gun that they have no business carrying from an experience standpoint.

Now, as I said earlier, one of the most common reasons that someone will buy a firearm for the first time is self defense. Here are some of the better guns that you can buy if you are a newer gun owner and doing it for self defense purposes.

In my opinion, you can’t really go wrong with a Glock. If you are looking for a basic gun to get started on, any variant of a Glock might be the way to go.

They are pretty reliable, won’t be a super crunch to your wallet, and aren’t exactly that hard to take care of. One of the things that I have noticed that discouraged a lot of newer gun owners is that some firearms are difficult to maintain. Glocks are by and large pretty easy to take care of and you can take one pretty much anywhere that you need.

Smith & Wesson is another fine gun manufacturer that has a goo number of great selections for the first time gun owner. A good number of the models that they offer also fall under the category of being great for a first timer due to being pretty easy to take care of.

These to companies are great for first timers and folks that might be on a budget. Let’s face it, if you are thinking of getting a gun for the first time you might be a little bit nervous about how much money to spend.

It’s perfectly normal to do things that way. The first time I bought a generator I didn’t buy the most expensive one that I could find.

I found something within a normal price range and worked my way up over time.

That being said, it’s all about protecting yourself and exercising your rights. Find what’s best for you and what you feel can best protect you and your loved ones.
