A family court judge faces shocking allegations of exploiting her power to indulge in scandalous behavior, casting doubt on the integrity of the legal system.
Judge Dawn Gentry has been accused of exploiting her position to satisfy her personal desires, engaging in inappropriate behavior that not only compromises her career in the legal system but also tarnishes the reputation of her Kentucky community.
The Kentucky Judicial Conduct Commission has revealed that Judge Gentry allegedly engaged in illicit relationships with attorneys, providing them special treatment in her courtroom in exchange for sexual favors and campaign donations. It has also been reported that she organized trysts in her chambers and encouraged employees to indulge in alcohol consumption as long as they catered to her whims first.
The hardworking taxpayers of Kentucky are understandably outraged upon learning about the 38-year-old judge’s egregious misconduct. With nine allegations of misconduct already leveled against her, Judge Gentry’s actions stand in stark contrast to the values of her community.
Reports suggest that Judge Gentry pressured lawyers to sleep with her in order to gain preferential treatment in her court. In one instance, she purportedly coerced a female attorney and a former church pastor to participate in a ménage à trois. The pastor has also confessed to engaging in similar activities with the judge and her secretary, as well as a prominent Kentucky attorney.
Despite her questionable morals and ethics, Gentry continued to preside over family court cases near Cincinnati, just south of the Kentucky-Ohio state line. She is accused of using taxpayer money to transform her chambers into a venue for her sexual escapades with pastor Stephen Penrose.
Gentry’s ex-husband alleges that she and the pastor had an affair during their marriage, and they also played in a band together. Furthermore, Gentry reportedly gave Penrose preferential access to a court specialist position by firing the previous employee to create the vacancy for her lover.
The pair allegedly sought to involve more individuals in their activities, with Gentry and the pastor approaching attorney Katherine Schultz to participate in a threesome. Schultz was part of a panel with Gentry, tasked with handling several child abuse cases. In exchange for sex, Gentry hoped to provide Schultz with favorable treatment.
Judge Gentry reportedly instructed Schultz to download Snapchat and then used the platform to pressure Schultz to “seduce” her now ex-husband, Brian Gentry, in an attempt to have him join them for a sexual encounter.
Schultz claimed in an affidavit that Judge Gentry wanted her to sleep with her estranged husband so she could pin the divorce on him for being unfaithful. She also asked Schultz to engage in sexual activities with her and pastor Penrose at a legal conference.
Earning a yearly salary of $135,000 paid by Kentucky taxpayers, Judge Gentry’s actions raise serious questions about her suitability to preside over the family court. The public must demand accountability for her actions and ensure that such abuse of power is not tolerated in the legal system.
