Former talk show host Oprah Winfrey passionately backed Kamala Harris at the DNC Convention in Chicago on Wednesday, criticizing President Trump and other Republicans.
Winfrey began her speech by accusing Republicans of attempting to frighten voters, a tactic she claimed Democrats, including Harris, have employed for years. She also took aim at Trump, describing him as impulsive and dishonest.
“We are beyond ridiculous tweets and lies and foolery,” she bellowed. “These are complicated times, and they require adult conversations.”

“Now, there’s a certain candidate that says if we just go to the polls this one time, that we’ll never have to do it again,” she added. “Well, you know what? Oprah even shared with Trump her dream of possibly running for office alongside him in the future.
Here is what the letter says:
“Donald, I reviewed the book excerpt. I have to tell you your comments made me a little weepy.
It’s one thing to live a life of integrity, still another to have people like yourself in office…Too bad we’re not running for office, what a team!”
Thank you,
Oprah”

Here is one well-known instance. Take note of how Trump’s comments on trade and our allies in 1988 remain relevant even today.
