On December 2022, code enforcement officers of the city of Reedley, Fresno County, California discovered a garden hose running into an apparently vacant building.
Subsequently, on March 3rd, a warrant was issued to inspect the property and in April the Fresno County Department of Public Health ordered an inspection of the facility.
This incident prompted O’Keefe Media Group to conduct an undercover investigation into the Chinese-funded bio lab.
The FDA announced a recall of 56,000 “Skippack Medical Lab” Rapid Anti-Gen COVID-19 tests distributed by Universal Meditech Inc. (UMI) to California and Texas in December 2022.
Prestige BioTech, the company alleged to be running the laboratory, is based out of Nevada and succeeded UMI.
During an onsite visit, Environmental Health Inspector noted several violations, including failure to prepare and implement a hazardous materials business plan (HMBP) for ethanol storage over state thresholds.
Furthermore, court documents obtained by Judicial Watch featured graphic photos of dead mice at the Reedley facility.
Daniel Sepulveda, US Congressional staff member to Jim Costa acknowledged that the illegal Chinese biolab posed a grave risk to public health and national security when asked if his boss thought it endangered public safety.
“Yes, he does,” Sepulveda stated into a button cameras:
“I saw they had a secret recording the Lab Owner saying he was doing it to benefit the Chinese government”
“I knew months before anybody else did”
“How many other people are creating labs within the United States?”
”There could be more,” he said.
