During an MSNBC interview, host Ari Melber spoke with Sondland and other former Trump officials. Sondland was asked if he still disavowed Trump after the events of Jan. 6, 2021.
“No, I don’t stand by it, and I’ll tell you why,” Sondland said. He explained that living under the Biden-Harris administration made him reconsider. He called their policies a threat to the country and its allies.

The host interrupted, shocked. “You said it was a ‘no’ after Jan. 6. Now, it’s a yes for you?”
“It is a yes, for me. Absolutely,” Sondland confirmed. He believed the Biden-Harris administration had failed in their duties.
Melber, raising his voice, tried to emphasize the importance of Jan. 6 over policy concerns. But Sondland shot back. He claimed there were even bigger threats to democracy now, inviting Melber to ask what they were.
Sondland warned of future voting irregularities if Democrats continue with their agenda. He stressed that policy shapes how the country functions.
Sondland concluded, sharing his personal experience. He said that living in Portland, Oregon, under Biden’s policies had been disastrous for businesses, including his own. And, in his view, it’s all preventable.
