The problem with liberals and anti-gun people in general is that they tend to misuse words. I actually heard one call an American Classic II 1911 that my uncle had a rifle. But anyway…
What I mean is that they try to use a word in such an abstract fashion in relation to its real meaning that anyone with a partially trained eye can see the parade of garbage coming out of them from a mile away.
For example, if someone like you or I would use the words “public health crisis”, we might use it in relation to if thirty kids from the same school all got sent home with the flu.
If the town’s water supply got contaminated is another good example. If someone was putting poison in the food at a buffet that hundreds of people ate at.
See folks, those are examples of what a public health crisis is. Now, if you’ll excuse me I am going to take a moment and put my Springfield 1911 DS Prodigy away before it gives anyone the shingles.
What’s that you say? My pistol can’t give anyone the shingles? Ok, what about Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever? Nope, that one either huh?
Well friends, it appears that myself and the rest of the folks reading this have to educate some anti-gun liberal government officials about what a public health crisis is.
What I am getting at is that Surgeon General Vivek Murthy recently made a declaration that “gun violence” is a public health crisis on par with a flu outbreak or a bunch of folks in Montana getting cholera or some other Oregon Trail disease.
Just days before the first Presidential debate in the 2024 election season, Surgeon General Murthy made an announcement declaring the public health emergency, saying that firearm violence poses a significant threat to the health of our country.
Well in that case, why aren’t all of the deer hunters out there dropping like flies? Why aren’t the target shooters puking their guts out in a corner somewhere? Why aren’t all of the responsible gun owners in this great country suffering from fevers that could melt a person’s brain?
I tell you why, because the liberals have been trying to grab guns for decades now and this is just the latest tactic. They are trying everything they can to gain public support for another series of ridiculous gun control measures.
They are trying to equate someone that is either a criminal or mentally ill using an otherwise innocent tool for evil purposes with someone getting violently sick.
They’re trying to use the “one bad apple” principle here and they are way off base. Their hope for significant changes to the firearms industry would be like if one guy on the subway stabbed someone to death with a spoon; and then they banned spoons.
See how stupid it would be? All this would be doing is punishing the law-abiding gun owners who have never bothered anyone.
It’s all about them trying to control you, with ridiculous storage regulations. And what if the government suddenly decides overnight that you had too much ammunition for your weapons, then you could be sent to jail for something you didn’t even know was illegal.
By declaring gun violence a public health emergency, they are using a ridiculous tactic that anyone with a brain could see through.
