Vice President Kamala Harris avoided specifying what “major changes” her administration would bring compared to the Biden administration in a Tuesday night interview.

Harris joined Stephen Colbert for a chat on the “Late Show,” where Colbert highlighted polls showing voters want change in 2024.

“You’re part of the current administration. Under a Harris administration, what would change, and what would stay the same?” Colbert asked.

“Well, I’m obviously not Joe Biden,” Harris replied.

“I’ve noticed,” Colbert joked.

“That would be one change,” Harris said, adding, “I’m also not Donald Trump,” which drew applause from the audience.

Harris then spoke about leadership and her love for the American people, saying she believes in their ambition, dreams, and work ethic. She shared her vision of building on successes and strengthening opportunities for the country. She also mentioned her “opportunity economy” and her small business owner mother.

Earlier that day, Harris appeared on “The View” and was asked if she would have done anything differently from Biden.

“There’s not a thing that comes to mind,” she said, adding that she’s been involved in most impactful decisions.

Critics were quick to respond, saying these comments would likely be used in a Trump ad to link her closely to Biden. Harris replaced Biden after he dropped out under pressure from anxious Democrats in July.
