Donald Trump held a campaign rally at Wilmington International Airport in North Carolina on Saturday, where the spotlight was briefly stolen by his two grandchildren, Luke, 7, and Carolina, 5.

The children of Eric and Lara Trump (who also serves as co-chair of the Republican National Committee) delighted the crowd with their impromptu speeches.

The crowd loved it, cheering loudly. But it was her brother Luke who had a standout moment when he grabbed the microphone and declared, “Vote for Grandpa!”—a line that brought even louder cheers from the audience.

The rally-goers began chanting, “Carolina! Carolina!” as she left the stage. Trump later revealed that Luke’s unscripted remark was better than what he had initially suggested. “I whispered in his ear, ‘Say MAGA,’” Trump told the crowd. “But he said, ‘Vote for Grandpa,’ and that was actually much better.”

Trump also noted that his daughter-in-law Lara grew up in North Carolina, before transitioning into the remainder of his speech, which focused on his opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, and the importance of securing votes in the crucial battleground state.

According to the Real Clear Politics poll average, Trump currently holds a razor-thin lead over Harris in North Carolina, with just a 0.1% margin separating them as the election approaches.

This rally showcased a lighter, more personal side of Trump, something rarely highlighted by the media.
