In a speech at the Livingston County Sheriff’s Department, ex-President Donald Trump introduced a set of stringent crime-related measures.
These include advocating for the death penalty for child rapists, imposing felonies on doctors conducting transgender surgeries on minors without parental consent, and endorsing a revival of the contentious “stop and frisk” policing tactic.
“I am announcing today that I will be asking for the death penalty for child rapists and child traffickers,” Trump declared to an audience of law enforcement officials.

During a wider conversation about crime, the former president presented himself as a strong advocate for law and order when he made these comments.
Trump not only emphasized his support for capital punishment in specific cases but also highlighted the importance of safeguarding minors from what he referred to as “sexual mutilation.”

He suggested harsh consequences for medical professionals who perform transgender surgeries on minors without the explicit authorization of their parents.
“To protect our children from sexual mutilation, we will make it a felony for any medical professional to perform surgery on a minor without parental consent,” Trump stated.
Trump, vying for the Republican nomination for president in 2024, has also voiced support for the revival of “stop and frisk” policing, a contentious practice condemned by civil rights organizations for promoting racial profiling.
Despite its polarizing reputation, Trump contends that the policy is crucial for combating unlawful behavior.
“We will aggressively prosecute dangerous criminals who violate existing gun laws — including by returning to ‘Stop and Frisk,’” he said.
The speech featured strong disapproval of Vice President Kamala Harris, with Trump alleging that she backs policies that weaken public safety.
