A member of a CNN focus group in the crucial swing state of Pennsylvania expressed her intention to vote for Donald Trump, citing that her life had improved during his previous term in office.

CNN organized a focus group with voters from Erie County, PA, which is considered a crucial battleground in the upcoming presidential election.

The state’s 19 electoral college votes are pivotal for both Trump and Kamala Harris in their race for the White House. Erie County’s significance lies in its potential to sway the election results toward either candidate.

Before the presidential debate on Tuesday, September 10, all 12 voters were undecided.

One of the individuals present was a woman who had previously voted for Trump. She mentioned that the debate had persuaded her to once again back the GOP candidate.

“I think it’s important to remember that we’re voting for the leader of our country. Not who we like the most, or who we want at our wedding party, but [the candidate] who is actually going to make our country better,” she told the network.

“We’re in an incredibly unique situation where we’ve had both of the candidates in office before, and we’ve gotten to see what they would do.”

“When facts come to facts, my life was better when Trump was in office,” she added, noting a stronger economy, lower inflation, and the risk of re-electing Harris to “fix the problems that her administration has caused.”

During the debate, a notable moment occurred when Harris was questioned about whether voters were better off than they were when the Biden-Harris administration began – and she responded at great length, addressing everything except for that specific question.

This led to widespread agreement with the voter’s sentiment on social media.
