Kimberlee Singler called to report a robbery of her home in Colorado only to let police arrive to find two of her children dead and another badly injured. Today, Singler, 35, is missing.

A search is underway by Colorado Springs Police for Singler, who, according to a statement obtained by Law&Crime on Friday, has been missing since Dec. 23, when the police department’s violent offender fugitive task force initiated efforts to apprehend her once investigators determined her Dec. 19 report of a burglary was “unfounded.”

Dispatch at the Colorado Springs Police Department reported receiving a call about the supposed break-in at Singler’s home roughly a half-hour after midnight that day. When they arrived at the home, they found Singler, her two older daughters — ages 9 and 11 — and Singler’s 7-year-old son.

The 9-year-old and the 7-year-old were dead. The 11-year-old was injured.

Treated for their injuries on the scene by medics, Singler and her eldest daughter were then rushed to a local hospital.

But as police started to pull apart what happened inside the home, they said they “determined the initial report of a burglary was unfounded” and established probable cause to obtain an arrest warrant for Singler on multiple charges — including no less than two counts of murder in the first degree and multiple felony child abuse charges as well as assault in the first degree and criminal attempt of murder in the first degree.

A $10 million bond has been set.

The department has opted to keep her arrest warrant under seal for now, though police disclosed on Thursday that they would eventually release those details later.

Singler’s whereabouts are unknown.
