Montana Governor to Colorado Gunmakers: “Move Back to America”

Uncategorized

Well, it looks like Colorado’s governor has officially lost his mind—and Montana’s governor is ready to clean up the mess.

In a move so predictably insane it barely raised an eyebrow anymore, Colorado’s Democrat Governor Jared Polis just signed one of the most sweeping gun bans this country has ever seen. Not satisfied with already being a haven for magazine bans and anti-Second Amendment lunacy, Polis decided to double down and flat-out ban the manufacturing and sale of semi-automatic firearms in his state. That’s right—semi-autos. The very guns used for home defense, hunting, sporting, and, frankly, keeping tyrants in check.

Enter Montana’s governor, Greg Gianforte, stage right, waving the American flag and a big ol’ “Welcome” sign. And he had a clear message for every gunmaker trapped behind enemy lines in Colorado: “Move back to America. Move to Montana.”

In a video that ought to win him a standing ovation from anyone with two brain cells and a love of freedom, Gianforte laid it out in no uncertain terms.

“Last week, the Democrat governor of Colorado signed into law one of the most restrictive gun bans ever adopted in the United States,” Gianforte said, practically spitting out the words in disgust. “The law bans the manufacturing and selling of semi-automatic firearms. This is on top of the liberal state’s existing ban on high-capacity magazines. That’s just crazy.”

You think, Governor? Crazy doesn’t even cover it anymore. Colorado used to be a great place for gun owners. Now it’s a blue-state disaster zone where your constitutional rights come second to the latest anti-gun virtue signal.

But Montana? Oh, Montana still remembers what country this is supposed to be.

“If you needed another sign that Democrat governors are completely out of touch with reality, well, here it is,” Gianforte continued. “Colorado is ranked in the top 10 states with the biggest gun industries. So, to all gun manufacturers in Colorado, my question for you is simple: Do you want to move back to America?”

Now that’s a question that doesn’t require a whole lot of soul-searching. Montana isn’t just “kind of” pro-Second Amendment. It’s about as pro-gun as it gets. We’re talking Constitutional Carry. We’re talking more than 150 firearms and ammunition manufacturers already calling it home—the most per capita in the entire United States. And they’ve passed laws to make sure gunmakers aren’t discriminated against by the usual leftist financial institutions and woke corporations.

Imagine that. A state that actually wants you to exercise your rights instead of begging permission from people who’ve never even touched a firearm outside of a movie set.

“Montana is open for business,” Gianforte said, proudly. “In Montana, we embrace freedom and the free enterprise system. Come on home to America. Right here in Montana.”

Amen, Governor. Somebody’s got to hold the line while the rest of these blue states light their hair on fire trying to out-ban each other.

But Gianforte didn’t just stop at a video. Oh no. He got on the phone and started making cold calls like a man on a mission. In an interview with Fox News Digital, he shared that he personally called six firearms companies based in Colorado right after Polis signed that disaster of a law.

And guess what? Five out of the six are already planning trips to Big Sky Country. Turns out when you treat people like criminals for building legal products, they start looking for the nearest escape route—and Montana’s wide open.

“My message to them was pretty simple,” Gianforte said. “‘See what’s going on in Colorado? Do you want to move back to America? Because Montana is open for business, and we would welcome you here.’”

It’s refreshing to hear a politician actually get it. This isn’t just about economics. This isn’t just about relocating a factory. This is about preserving American freedom while the other side tries to regulate it into oblivion.

“Our Second Amendment is very clear,” Gianforte said, hammering it home. “The right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. This bill outlaws some of the most popular firearms used for sporting and self-defense. It’s a violation of the Second Amendment.”

That’s it. Plain and simple. Not “living document.” Not “interpretation.” Not “common sense reform.” Infringed. And what Colorado just did is a whole buffet of infringement with a side order of idiocy.

Meanwhile, Montana’s just sitting up there, a big slice of sanity surrounded by a growing wasteland of unconstitutional madness, telling gunmakers: “We still believe in the America you grew up in. We still believe in your right to exist.”

So while Colorado lawmakers are busy patting themselves on the back for gutting the Constitution, Montana’s rolling out the welcome wagon. And frankly, if you’re a gun manufacturer and you’re still hanging around in Colorado hoping it’ll get better… it won’t. Pack your bags. Load up your machines. Montana is calling—and it still looks like America up there.
