JD Vance Flips the Script, Brilliantly Uses Harris’ Talking Points Against Her

JD Vance, Republican vice presidential nominee, took a swing at Kamala Harris. During a Michigan event, he repeated her common talking point but with a twist.

He told supporters in Traverse City that he also grew up in a working-class family. He made it clear, though, that Democrats weren’t being truthful about standing up for working people.

“Look, I grew up in a working-class family. When Kamala Harris talks about her middle-class background, it’s not true,” Vance said. “They’re lying to you.”

Vance pointed to the pandemic as proof. He reminded voters of the Democrats’ lockdowns and how people were kept from working. He didn’t hold back.

“Remember when people lost jobs for not taking the COVID shot? Kamala Harris doesn’t care about the working class,” Vance continued.

Michigan is crucial for Trump’s reelection chances, and Vance used the moment to also back Mike Rogers, running for Senate. But the main target of his comments remained Kamala Harris.

Vance mocked Harris’ interviews, saying they only help Trump. He argued her answers were meaningless and failed to address issues like inflation and border control.

“They ask her about inflation, and she talks about her middle-class upbringing,” Vance said. “What does that have to do with fixing inflation?”

He wasn’t done. Vance accused Harris of causing inflation, open borders, and global conflicts. His message to her was clear: “You’re fired. Go back to San Francisco.”

Michigan was part of the “blue wall” Democrats relied on, but Trump broke through in 2016. Biden won it back in 2020, but the fight for the state is far from over.
