The selection of J.D. Vance by Donald Trump as his running mate in the upcoming election is one of those things that has opponents of the Second Amendment ready to throw their skirts over their collective heads and setting them to run for the hills.
One of the things that liberals and so-called gun control advocates absolutely cannot stand is someone that is a supporter of the Second Amendment.
For whatever reason, the idea that someone would want to exercise their rights under the United States Constitution scares them.
Far as I am concerned, and I am sure everyone reading this would agree, if you want to own a Ruger AR-556 whether it be for hunting, target practice, or home defense it is your right to do so if you are a law abiding citizen.
The issue with gun grabbers is that they want to put so many restrictions on gun owners that I am honestly surprised that we haven’t gotten to the point where I don’t have to check into a local police station every time that I take my Ruger AR-556 out of my gun safe.
The gun grabbers seem to hate J.D. Vance as much as they hate the guns they are trying to ban.
They want to continue this narrative that that all gun owners are the problem, when anyone with half a brain can tell you that it is the people committing the crimes that are the problem. If you banned all guns, then they would just commit crimes with something else.
J.D. Vance has of course been endorsed by the National Rifle Association which is just frustrating the gun grabbers even more. They don’t understand that the good folks at the NRA are just trying their best to assist folks in exercising their Second Amendment rights. J.D. Vance is someone that wants to make sure that we as law abiding gun owners are able to do that.
They act like everyone that owns a gun is just like the man that attempted to take the life of Donald Trump.
They seem to act like anyone that owns a gun is just looking for an excuse to use it. They act like anyone with a gun is waiting in the bushes to harm someone.
That’s hardly the case. We just want to be able to own our firearms as the law allows and not have to be raked over the coals if we buy an extra box of ammo when we go out to a gun store.
We don’t want to have liberals and gun control nutjobs telling us that we can’t do what we are allowed to do under the Constitution.
It’s why the gun ban groups are doing everything that they can to malign Vance. They are taking every step possible to spew complete and total nonsense about him and Donald Trump in general.
For example, right after the announcement of J.D. Vance’s being picked was made the Brady Campaign said the following:
“This week reaffirmed what we’ve known all along: Safety is on the ballot in November,” he said. “Guns are the number one killer of youth in America. Do we want leaders who will stand up for the well-being of our kids and communities? Or do we want leaders who will continue to ignore gun violence—even as more than 300 people are shot every single day in this country?”
This one statement alone proves that they have their heads up their butts. I mean really, do they think that it is law abiding citizens that are shooting guns at people? Heck no!
They are trying to paint Vance in a corner and all of a sudden act like it is his fault that there are horrible people that do horrible things. This is just one of the dozens of statements from gun control groups that has come out since Vance becoming Trump’s running mate.
However, real Second Amendment advocates like you and I know the truth, and they aren’t going to be able to confuse us with this smokescreen they keep trotting out and the lies they keep spreading about guns.
