Veteran polling analyst Matt Towery shared some alarming news for Democrats on Monday during an appearance on Fox News. He noted a growing wave of support for former President Donald Trump among voters in key swing states.

Towery, speaking on “The Ingraham Angle,” said he’s seen polls showing Trump gaining ground in nearly every battleground state. This includes important states like Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Nevada.
“I’ve looked at polling data I’ve had access to, and it’ll likely be public soon. Trump’s rising in almost every battleground state,” Towery told Laura Ingraham. “When you ask how neighbors will vote, the shy Trump voters emerge. Those numbers surge. I haven’t seen this in years.”
Typically more cautious in his assessments, Towery admitted this marks a significant shift in public opinion. His observations extend beyond traditional Republican strongholds.
“I’m seeing a real shift in places like Michigan and Pennsylvania. Even Nevada has seen a turnaround. The only real trouble spot is Georgia,” he explained. “There, the traditional Republicans aren’t fully behind Trump. The newer Republicans, especially those hit by the recent storm, are more supportive.”
Towery also mentioned how a recent storm in the Southeast, hitting heavily Republican areas, could play a role in the upcoming election. “That storm affected Republican areas. Who knows what that’ll do to turnout,” he added.
Analysts suggest that the shift in Nevada could pose a challenge for Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign. Nevada’s six electoral votes might seem small, but the state’s shift could change the game.
A recent poll from the New York Times and Siena College shows a tight race in swing states. In Michigan, Harris leads Trump by just 1%, and in Wisconsin, her lead is slightly larger at 49% to 47%.
