Republican vice-presidential nominee J.D. Vance dismissed claims that he’s ignoring outreach to women during a “Fox News Sunday” appearance.

Fox News anchor Shannon Bream pointed to Politico’s Oct. 10, 2024 edition of “Playbook.” It suggested Vance’s appeal was aimed at the “self-styled alpha male crowd.” Bream questioned him about the perceived gender gap. Trump’s support among men is rising, while women poll differently.

“They say you’re banking on the bro vote. Politico says you’ve given up on women voters. Is that true?” Bream asked.

Vance quickly denied it.

“No, Shannon. That’s ridiculous. I see the same polls as everyone else, and I think we’ve made progress recently,” Vance said.

“We’re still weeks away from Election Day. We’ll keep making our case to all voters — men and women. Trump is the candidate for peace and prosperity,” Vance added.

Vance also stressed issues like public safety, overdose deaths, the border crisis, and inflation. He believes these issues resonate with women voters.

“Inflation hits young women harder. Many women do the grocery shopping,” Vance said.

“That’s not true in my house,” he joked, before talking about the rising costs of rent and utilities.

“They’re the ones handling these bills,” Vance continued. “We can do better for women, making basic necessities affordable.”
