Police were searching for a 38-year-old man who was allegedly in a road-rage fight with another man when they knocked over an elderly woman — leaving her unconscious — while running through a baggage claim area at Los Angeles International Airport.

The man being sought was identified as Jasan Givens Sr. Surveillance video captured the incident from the morning of May 31. Givens can be seen chasing the other unidentified man on a sidewalk before the two run off a curb. As they do, they knock over a woman checking her luggage. The men continue fighting on the ground behind a vehicle, rolling around as she lay next to them, motionless.

The woman was hospitalized and released, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a news release. The extent of her injuries was not provided.

“The most shocking thing, and the reason we’re asking for the public’s help, is after this happened, both the individuals failed to render aid,” LAPD Detective Scott Danielson told local CW affiliate KTLA. “Our victim here could be your mother or your grandmother.”

Police said the shirtless man being chased surrendered to police and was arrested.

Authorities said Givens is known to drive a silver Chevrolet sedan with the license plate 5UAL384. The vehicle has visible damage to the front passenger door, officials said.

Police revealed no details about the alleged road rage incident that sparked it all.
