Honestly, it’s unbelievable what I came across recently. Can you imagine that a 22-year-old Instagram influencer actually thinks it’s a good idea to stop teaching about World War II in schools?
It’s like they’re suggesting we should ignore the critical lessons from our history just to protect the fragile feelings of millennials. This “snowflake” mindset is a direct result of liberals coddling an entire generation, and it’s putting our understanding of the past and the sacrifices made by our forefathers at risk.
This reality TV star, Freddie Bentley, went on Good Morning Britain and said that schools in Great Britain should give their students a break and not teach them about the devastating conflict that engulfed Europe. When I heard him say, “It was a hard situation, World War Two… I remember learning it as a child thinking, ‘Oh my God, it’s so intense,'” I couldn’t help but wonder what’s happening to our society.
People on social media, thankfully, didn’t hesitate to express their disapproval. Many pointed out the importance of learning about the past so we don’t end up repeating the same mistakes. I mean, seriously, what happened to respecting and honoring the sacrifices made by the Allies who fought and defeated the Nazis?
The sad truth is that Bentley’s misguided views are a product of the left’s grip on education. They’re so focused on protecting everyone’s feelings that they’re willing to sacrifice the facts and knowledge that make us a strong society. Bentley even thinks that schools should teach kids about getting mortgages and political issues like Brexit instead of World War II.
He said, “When I left school, it hit me like a ton of bricks. I didn’t know anything to do with life.”
Dumbing down our education and removing history lessons in favor of a more “emotionally safe” environment is a dangerous game. We need our young people to learn about the struggles and victories of the past to become responsible and informed citizens. But, apparently, the left is more interested in creating a generation of uninformed and overly sensitive individuals.

We can’t let this attempt to erase World War II education from classrooms go unchallenged. It’s just another example of the left trying to water down our understanding of history and make us forget the sacrifices made to protect our freedoms. As conservatives, we need to stand up against this progressive onslaught and defend the importance of historical education for the sake of our future generations.
So, the next time you hear about some young “influencer” wanting to remove historical events from their education, remember it’s not just about sensitivity – it’s an attack on our ability to learn from the past and make informed decisions for the future. We’ve got to push back against this liberal nonsense and make sure our education system remains strong and intact, so the lessons and sacrifices of our forefathers are never forgotten.
