President Donald Trump exits the courtroom amidst a tumultuous E. Jean Carroll case in a New York City court, following an incident where an alleged corrupt judge issues a jail threat to Alina Habba.

While lawyer Roberta Kaplan, representing writer E. Jean Carroll, delivered her closing argument, U.S. District Judge Lewis A. Kaplan paused to formally acknowledge that Trump abruptly stood up and exited the courtroom.

PBS reported:

The walkout occurred shortly after closing began and minutes after the judge threatened to send Trump attorney Alina Habba to jail for continuing to talk when he told her she was finished.

“You are on the verge of spending some time in the lockup. Now sit down,” the judge told Habba…

…Trump had appeared agitated all morning, vigorously shaking his head during Kaplan’s closing arguments.

The walkout occurred shortly after Roberta Kaplan said: “Donald Trump has tried to normalize conduct that is abnormal.”

President Donald Trump made a strong statement on his Truth Social platform on Friday, following his sudden departure.

“Judge Kaplan refuses to allow the Anderson Cooper Interview on CNN of E. Jean Carroll wherein Carroll says, “Rape is sexy,” and numerous other things that totally exonerate me. Judge Kaplan is refusing me my Constitutional Right to Due Process, to defend myself against this False Accusation. This is a one-sided trial, where the other side is allowed everything, and we are allowed nothing. He is an extremely abusive individual, the likes of which few have seen before!”

Trump’s posts on Truth Social in response to the incident were highly critical.

He strongly denounced Judge Kaplan, accusing the judicial process of being corrupt and referring to it as a “Biden Demanded Witch Hunt.”
