Convicted child killer who brutally raped and killed an 8-year-old girl, strangled by cellmate in Oklahoma to death.
59-year-old Anthony Palma who raped and murdered an 8-year-old girl gets a shocking welcome back. He was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole by the Oklahoma County District Court.
After nearly two decades, the crimes that were once considered a cold case led to DNA evidence that narrowed the list of suspects to Palma, who was eventually arrested in the same house he had lived in since abducting the girl.
Thanks to the victim’s blood, which was recorded in his backyard, Palma was finally identified as her killer in 2015.
Palma was found guilty of killing Kirsten Hatfield. She lived two doors down from him. He was then found guilty of kidnapping the girl, sexually assaulting her, and then killing her to get rid of the evidence.
Facing family justice, Anthony Palma was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole by the Oklahoma County District Court in 2017.
Submerging his belief, Palma continued to deny his involvement in the rape and murder of the girl and refused to reconstruct Kirsten’s body with her family.
Despite his conviction, Palma continued to deny involvement in the rape and murder of the girl, refusing to reunite Kirsten’s body with her family.
Although Palma had the opportunity to address his punishment, he never attempted to change his fate.
Barely a year into his life sentence, the convicted murderer faced an encounter with his cellmate that probably made him wish he had had that opportunity.
Just 13 months after being sentenced to life in prison, Anthony Palma was found brutally murdered by his cellmate 35-year-old Raymond Pillado.
His cellmate gave him the same gruesome fate he had inflicted on his 8-year-old victim decades ago.
Investigators confirmed that Palma was discovered “lying face down on the floor.” When they told Pillado to remove the blanket, they saw Palma’s body in a pool of blood.
