There’s Something About The Trump/DeSantis Dustup Nobody Realizes…

Uncategorized

The media has played this tune that Ron DeSantis is a threat to Donald Trump and it may have gotten under the former president’s skin. DeSantis has repeatedly mentioned that he does not have any intention of running against Trump in 2024 so why take a dive on the most popular GOP Governor in America?

Trump mocked DeSantis as “Ron DeSanctimonious” while discussing the 2024 Republican presidential primary at a rally in Pennsylvania.-The name calling from Trump sparked some backlash from Conservatives who are expecting a massive call for unity ahead of the midterms.

“DeSantis is an extremely effective conservative governor who has had real policy wins and real cultural wins. Trump isn’t going to be able to take this one down with a dumb nickname. He better have more than that up his sleeve,” wrote Matt Walsh, a commentator at The Daily Wire and a leading voice among social conservatives.

I have flipped through thousands of mentions all across the internet following this comment and I’m concerned with what I have been seeing. While Trump’s statement might not be favorable, the one thing conservative voters don’t want to do right now is split the party’s unity.

Less than 24 hours after name-calling, Trump was in Miami promoting Marco Rubio. He did not repeat the comment about DeSantis:

“This is beautiful — what a place — hello, Miami,” Trump told a Save America rally, stumping for Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla. “And it’s a great honor for Marco, I can tell you. It’s great to be here in my home state of Florida. This is my homestead.

“With thousands of proud, hardworking American patriots, incredible people — just two days from now, the people of Florida are going to reelect the wonderful, the great, a friend of mine, Marco Rubio to the United States Senate. Are you going to reelect Ron DeSantis as your governor of the state?”

“And you’re going to elect an incredible slate of true MAGA warriors to Congress.”

Trump made it clear that he was in Miami to support Rubio but he did not continue the attack on DeSantis. However, the media is eating up the idea of Trump and DeSantis tearing each other apart and not-so-secretly hoping that the rift between the two Republicans would spell the end of the ‘America First’ agenda.

Watch

I’ve seen conservatives on both sides vowing to vote for either candidate in spite of the other and I just want to take a moment to remind everyone that the left would love nothing more than to watch the ‘MAGA crowd’ tear each other apart. Where ever you land in the Trump vs DeSantis debate, I hope that you all just remember that they’re on the same team and don’t give the left the satisfaction.
