Lindsay Arnold, a professional dancer and television personality who rose to fame through Dancing with the Stars, recently posted a picture of herself lounging by the pool in a red two-piece bikini on social media. However, she was met with criticism from some of her followers for showing her C-section scar in the picture. In response, Arnold took to Instagram to share that she is proud of her body and the scar, which represents the birth of her daughter, Sage.
Arnold gave birth to Sage in November 2020, and since then, fans have been closely following her social media accounts to see updates about her life as a new mother. However, some people have been questioning the authenticity of her posts and accusing her of photoshopping her images. In her latest post, Arnold wanted to put these rumors to rest and share a message of self-love and acceptance.
She wrote, “I feel like this needs to be addressed as it’s important to me that you all know that my C-section scar is now my favorite part of my body. It is the representation of the thing I am most proud of in my life, and that is our sweet Sagey.”
Arnold went on to explain that she is amazed by the fact that her daughter was born through a small incision in her belly and that she loves her scar. She also praised the doctors who made it possible for her to have a low scar that is not visible in a bikini. Arnold clarified that she has never photoshopped her images and wanted to dedicate a post to her beautiful scar.
Her post quickly went viral and received over 102,000 likes in just three days. Many fans praised Arnold for her message of self-love and body positivity.
One user wrote, “This (could) really help someone struggling with their scars and learn to embrace them. Such a beauty.”
Another user commented, “The fact you have to even share this. Keep on rocking, momma!”
Arnold’s message is an important one, as it encourages women to embrace their bodies and accept their scars as a symbol of strength and beauty. Her vulnerability and honesty have touched the hearts of many, and her message serves as a reminder that every woman’s body is incredible and unique.
