If Stephanie Matto’s name sounds familiar, you might recognize her from TLC’s strangely compelling reality series 90-Day Fiancé. Or perhaps you saw one of the numerous popular videos on her nearly 1 million-subscriber YouTube channel. But as it turns out, Stephanie’s reality TV appearance and expanding social media presence aren’t her genuine claims to fame.
As she built a massive following on social media and has utilized that platform to the fullest; the reality TV star Stephanie Matto has the weirdest side hustle, and it has been cashing in thousands of dollars. She has made about $70,000 selling her fart in a jar for AUD 1,400 each. That’s right — her farts. As in, her butt breath; her air biscuits; her two-cheek squeaks.
Late in 2021, she started selling her farts for a profit, and she has been doing so ever since. She has been selling her farts in jars to the highest bidder. She apparently made over $100,000 by selling her farts in a jar online in just three weeks. Describing her success in the so-called “gas industry,” She even delivered a few interviews about her efforts; on Tuesday in December 2021, Stephanie told her YouTube subscribers. She made an attempt to describe how busy her side business of selling farts in jars has become. “So, I know it’s been a while. I have been very, very busy with a new business venture which has just been exploding.”
In addition to her work selling farts, Stephanie has also developed a website called Unfilrd, which works on a similar membership model as OnlyFans and allows content creators to acquire paying customers to view their unique “talents.” It offers content producers the option to communicate with and get paid by their fans.
“Working on my own adult-friendly platform these past few months has made me very aware of the different types of niches and markets that are out there,” She said.
“Over the years, I’ve gotten a few messages from men and women wanting to buy my worn bras, panties, hair, bath water, etc. I thought farts were super niche but also something fun, quirky, and different! It’s almost like a novelty item!”
“I think my main motivation was money, but I also thought it’d be a hilarious publicity move that would get a lot of people’s attention, and it has definitely worked,” Stephanie confessed. Since she had enough gas to spare, Matto reasoned that she could actually make some money from her side business if she could sell her farts in jars.
Matto made an estimated $50,000 from selling her farts in jars alone in one particularly successful week. She revealed how she manufactures her “jarts” in several behind-the-scenes videos, and she claimed to have made six figures from her farts in as little as a month.
“While I wait for those farts to develop, I like to read — I’m very smart, love to read. Then, after I’m ready to go, I go ahead and … do my work, do my job — I don’t need to show you that, guys,” she said.
