A woke tyrannical school district in Michigan has found itself embroiled in controversy after it was learned that school officials began putting together spying dossiers on parents.
School officials at the Rochester Community Schools in Michigan were upset that a group of parents had organized to stop the district’s mask mandate. Elena Dinverno, mother of a student, on a Facebook group requested parents get testimonies from their children about the negative impact wearing masks was having on their kids.
That request allegedly prompted Board of Education President Kristin Bull to call her employer and falsely claimed that Dinverno was involved in a radical group threatening the district. As a result of the phone call, Dinverno’s employer fired Divnerno.
That prompted Dinverno to file a federal lawsuit that uncovered a spy network created by the public school district. Deborah Gordon, Dinverno’s attorney found during a deposition that the school had complied stacks of data on parents who just wanted their kids back in school and to have a choice about wearing face coverings.
A deposition uncovered that the school district contacted many employers to try and get parents fired for disagreeing with the school board.
Two high-level school officials, Amy DiCresce and Lori Grein were allegedly assigned to monitor critical parents and create dossiers of them.
“I have found at taxpayer expense they had high-level people spending hours monitoring parents’ social posts,” Gordon said. “I was stunned. I have a stack that is like a phone book. This was an active group that wanted their kids back in school.”
School Superintendent Robert Shaner admitted that he called employers because he was “scared.”
“Yeah, we value the input of all parents, and we certainly want to keep our thumb on the pulse of the community, so we monitor social media very closely on all fronts and make sure we’re responsive to the community,” Shane told Deborah Gordon, Dinverno’s attorney.
“Yeah, so again, I just want to be clear about the social media,” Shane said. “We do watch it and try to make sure we know what’s going on in our community, but that’s not the only place that we get information on social media. Believe it or not, there are parents that support what we are doing, and they often share what’s going on in social media with us as well…”.
He never explained why he called employers.
Despite the school district settling the lawsuit they aren’t out of the woods. Taxpayers in the community are furious and are demanding to know the amount the school district paid out. People are also demanding that those involved in the scandal resign.
