The House Ways and Means Committee Chairman, Rep. Jason Smith (R-MO), joined Maria Bartiromo on Sunday Morning Futures today to discuss a concerning development that has been uncovered.
According to Rep. Smith, President Joe Biden has been using Air Force Two as his jet to meet with Hunter Biden’s business associates to enrich his family.
This news is disconcerting for the American people, as it violates the trust that officials must maintain while implementing their duties and responsibilities while occupying public office.
It also raises questions about how this type of behavior can be allowed to persist when there are existing regulations meant to prevent these types of actions from occurring in the first place.
A number of representatives have spoken out against this development, emphasizing the importance of transparency and accountability in government operations.
These representatives point out how allowing these practices could lead to further corruption within the system and erode confidence in our government institutions over time if left unchecked.
Furthermore, it brings into question the ethics behind elected officials using taxpayer money for personal gain instead of spending it on essential services such as healthcare or education which are necessary in order for society to function properly.
This puts a strain on taxpayers who would otherwise not have had to fund activities such as these if they were not being conducted by their elected officials with taxpayer money.
