During the month of June, President Joe Biden ha traveled the United States claiming that the economy is actually doing really well and things are worse in “every other major industrial county in the world.”
“First of all, (a recession is) not inevitable. Secondly, we’re in a stronger position than any nation in the world to overcome this inflation. It’s bad. Isn’t it kind of interesting? If it’s my fault, why is it the case in every other major industrial country in the world that inflation is higher? You ask yourself that? I’m not being a wise guy,” Biden said.
As of the writing of this post inflation in the United States is 8.6% meanwhile economic reports in Canada show inflation is lower.
Not only is inlfation lower in Canada, but it’s also lower in Germany, Portugal, the UK, Mexico, Sweden, Italy, and 13 other industrialized countries.
To boot, Fed chair Jerome Powell destroyed Biden’s claims that inflation wasn’t a problem until Putin invaded Ukraine.
