CNN Lemon Breaks Silence On Tennessee Shooter’s Gender Identity: ‘Everyone Thinking’ It

Uncategorized

I have to give credit, where it is due. One liberal media host actually addressed the gender identity of the Tennessee school shooter.

The liberal-biased media often has no problem running with wild, partisan overstatements. On Tuesday’s CNN This Morning, Don Lemon raised an important point about the Nashville mass shooter being a member of the LGBTQ community.

He asked if this posed any sort of difference or difficulty for the police because it’s not typically a woman, regardless of how they’re identifying.

CNN national security analyst Juliette Kayyem agreed that it was time for sensitivity. But she quickly returned to the gun control debate, arguing “we don’t own guns in this country, guns own us” and saying “pronouns do not kill children, right? People with guns kill children.”

Lemon surprisingly responded: “You’re right: it shouldn’t matter as to the pronouns. But it is something different, and people are discussing it, and I think we should discuss it. Also, be sensitive about it, but it is an important part of the conversation.”

Kudos to Lemon for bringing up this important point. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for MSNBC’s Morning Joe, which only gave short shrift to the shooter’s identity.

It’s an important reminder that the liberal-biased media often overlooks important points. In this case, it was the identity of the Nashville shooter being a member of the LGBTQ community.

At the same time, it’s also important to remember that guns are not the only problem. Pronouns do not kill people. People with evil intentions kill people. Lawful gun owners, who are only exercising their Second Amendment rights, should not be blamed for the criminal acts of others.

We should all be aware of the problem of liberal-biased media and their tendency to overlook important points. Don Lemon deserves credit for bringing up this important point about the Nashville shooter.

I’m not impressed with Lemon, just shocked that he even dared to bring up the shooters trans identity.  Hopefully, more media outlets will follow his example and make sure to cover important issues with sensitivity and accuracy.
