Texas authorities are searching for clown-masked shooter who killed a man in the parking lot of a motel.
Houston police responded to a shooting call around 1:15 a.m. Monday at the Diamond Inn in the 8900 block of the Gulf Freeway on the city’s southeast side. The suspect, wearing a clown mask, walked up to a 31-year-old sitting in the driver’s seat of his car in the parking lot and fired several shots. Officers found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced him dead on scene.
The suspect was wearing a two-toned red and white mask along with a dark hoodie, pants and black shoes with white soles. He may be bald. Cops don’t know the motive at this point. Officials told local ABC affiliate KTRK that the suspect walked up to the victim’s car and fired more than 10 shots. He then ran away. Houston police released a surveillance photo of the suspect wearing the mask.
Veronica Robertson said in an interview with KTRK that the victim was her son, Liquorian Robertson. She said her son was a father of five. It’s the second son she’s lost to violence. Her youngest son was killed 13 years ago, she said.
“Whoever took my son’s life, I want them to know God is real and justice will be served through God or the justice system,” Veronica Robertson told the TV station. “May God deliver them for being unrighteous toward my child and may God bless them all.”
