Biden Gets Bushwhacked! Top Obama General Joins The Chorus Singing Joe’s Swan Song

Obama general David Axelrod has now joined the growing chorus of Democrats worried about Joe Biden and worried about the damage he is going to do to their party.

From through op-eds, Axelrod has tried to coach Biden warning him not to be cocky and to take the concerns of the American people seriously. Before Joe Biden’s State of the Union Speech, Axelrod wrote:

“But, Mr. President, proceed with caution. Talk about the things you and Congress have done to help meet the challenges Americans are facing, for sure. Lay out your goals for the future, absolutely. Offer realistic hope for better days ahead. We desperately need it. But recognize that we are still in the grips of a national trauma. Polls show that the vast majority of Americans believe we are on the wrong track, and people will have little patience for lavish claims of progress that defy their lived experiences.”

Biden didn’t listen and now his approval ratings are moving to the upper 20s and 74% of Democrats do not want him to run in 2024.

On July 27, 2022, Axelrod posted a statement condemning Biden as politely as he could.

“It matters to markets what politicians and, more important, the Fed says about the state of the economy. But to much of the public, the economy is how they’re experiencing it. It’s about how they FEEL, not about what they’re told,” the former Obama general wrote.

Axelrod is referring to Biden’s attempt to redefine the word recession, and he’s right. It doesn’t matter how you define the economy the only thing that matters is what Americans are experiencing.

Joe isn’t doing himself any better favors either. After the news broke that US economy shrank Biden said, “we are on the right path.”

Axelrod is now the third prominent person in the Democrat machine to sing Biden’s swan song. During an appearance on CNN with Jake Tapper, he said that Biden’s age is a significant concern and hinted that Democrats should start looking in another direction.

Within the last week of the writing of this post, the New York Times and the Washington Post agree Joe should not run in 2024. Both publications have released op-eds demanding that Biden announce he won’t run for a second term to save the Democrat’s midterms hopes. The recent demands from the Democrat base seem to be a warning to Joe that if he doesn’t announce he’s not running in adequate time to “save the midterms” the party may try to oust him later.

The Washington Post wrote:

Unless Biden announces that he is not running for reelection, this quiet campaign against him will intensify — whether it comes from people who intend to challenge Biden in the primaries in 2024 or just to flex their muscles to discourage him from running again. This is fueled by his low standing in the polls on job performance and on desirability as the party’s 2024 nominee.
