Three Arrested in Baton Rouge After Stealing Guns to Allegedly Shoot Cops

Three individuals are in police custody after a pawn shop robbery where eight separate guns were stolen.

Law enforcement says there were four suspects––one still at large––and the guns were stolen because they had allegedly been planning to kill police officers.

Police Chief Carl Dabadie said these were taken as credible threats to police officers. There was a raid earlier today at a home in Baton Rouge where suspects where arrested.

Baton Rouge, of course, is where Alton Sterling was fatally shot during an encounter with police officers last week. There have been protests in Baton Rouge the last few days, and things got a little heated.
